Drive-away deals on select D-Max 4x4 ute and MU-X 4x4 SUV models have been put in place, maintaining the brand’s value positioning as sales slump.

Year-to-date sales for the D-Max 4x4 range are down 10.7 per cent, while the MU-X range has seen an 18 per cent decline compared to 2024.

To maintain sales momentum, Isuzu has extended drive-away deals on the D-Max Blade, X-Terrain, and X-Rider.

First announced at the start of April, the off-road-optimised D-Max Blade is available from $77,990 drive-away, in place of the regular list price of $78,900 before on-road costs.

The current drive-away deal results in a retail saving of between $6000 to $9200, depending on location, once on-road costs are added to the list price.

Isuzu is also continuing offers on the X-Terrain, from $68,990 and X-Rider, from $57,990.

Regular retail pricing for the D-Max X-Terrain starts from $70,500, with the X-Rider priced from $59,500, both before on-road costs, resulting in savings of up to $8500, depending on the model and location.

Buyers looking for deals on the MU-X seven-seat SUV will find the MU-X LS-T priced from $69,990 drive-away, instead of the regular $71,400 list price before on-road costs.

Savings on the MUX-LS-T 4x4 equate to as much as over $9200 off compared to regular on-the-road pricing, with savings varying between states.

The current drive-away offers are listed with an expiry date of August 21, 2025.

The move comes as Isuzu is expected to trim the MU-X range, with some 4x2 models facing the axe as a result of the New Vehicle Efficiency Standard (NVES) putting pressure on those models.

While 4x4 versions are classed as light commercial vehicles, 4x2s fall under passenger car classification, resulting in higher penalties and a lower carbon emissions threshold for those models.

Isuzu sold just 12,774 D-Max 4x4 utes to the end of July 2024, compared to 14,300 last year, while MU-X sales dropped to 9435 units compared to last year’s 11,535 sales.
