Electric-car brand Smart has slashed pricing and added factory bonuses to the base-model versions of its #1 and #3 SUVs.

The Smart #1 Pro+ has had its regular RRP of $54,900 plus on-road costs cut to $47,900 drive-away, with Smart offering an additional $3500 ‘plate bonus’ offer to further reduce pricing.

The #3 Pro+ gets a similar deal, with the regular price of $57,900 plus on-road costs cut to $50,900 drive-away.

Like the #1, the #3 is also offered with a $3500 plate bonus.

The offer applies to 2024-built models, which are currently all the Smart dealer network has in stock. Offers will not apply to newly-ordered vehicles or customised configurations.

Smart says the drive-away pricing and factory bonuses work out to discounts of $13,500 for both models.

Conditions of the promotional offer mean vehicles must be purchased before February 28, and delivered before March 14, 2026.

Smart has also extended drive-away pricing to other models in its range.

The Smart #1 Premium moves from $58,900 plus on-road costs to $54,990 drive-away, with the #1 Brabus range-topper cut from $67,900 plus on-roads to $62,990 drive-away.

Meanwhile, the #3 Premium drops from $61,900 plus ORCs to $57,990 drive-away, and the high-performance #3 Brabus has been reduced from $70,900 before on-roads to $69,990 drive-away.

Savings range from $6350 to more than $10,228, depending on the model, based on a Victorian address, with savings varying by the state or territory of registration. Options and accessories may impact final pricing.

Smart’s slow rollout in Australia has seen the dealer footprint limited to just three locations, one each in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney.

Despite being a joint venture between Geely and Mercedes-Benz, the brand’s local distribution is handled by LSH Auto Australia, which operates the world’s largest Mercedes-Benz dealer network.
