Here are some of the discounts and special offers on new hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars in Australia from the country's top-selling brands to help you save money at the pump.
Australians are feeling the pinch of the current fuel crisis, with petrol getting closer to the $3 per litre mark, while diesel is already above that figure in most areas around the country.
Searches for more fuel-efficient options, including hybrids and electric vehicles, have been on the rise, as consumers look for cheaper cars to run.
A number of manufacturers are offering deals on some of their top-selling hybrid models, so we've collated a list of some of the best out there from Australia's best-selling car brands.
This is not a complete list – and many of these are due to expire at the end of this month, so get in quick – but it's a slice of some of the discounts out there right now.
Mazda is offering the 2025-plate CX-60 P50e Pure plug-in hybrid for $53,990 drive-away, a significant saving estimated at $13,000 to $17,000, depending on the state of registration.
Hyundai is offering a long list of drive-away deals across its hybrid range, from sedans to small, medium and large SUVs.

Meanwhile, BYD is offering its popular Shark 6 Premium plug-in hybrid ute for $57,900 drive-away, provided the ute is ordered before the end of the month, and delivered by 19 April.
It equates to savings of between $1983 and $5953, depending on the state of registration, while a $42,990 drive-away deal on the entry-level Sealion 6 PHEV translates to a discount of $1770 to $4568.
Mitsubishi is offering a clearance sale on the Model Year 2024 (MY24) Outlander plug-in hybrid, with a cash bonus and discounts across the line-up, including $10,000 off Exceed, Exceed Tourer, and GSR variants.
A $5000 reduction is offered on Outlander PHEV Aspire models, as well as a $3000 cash bonus on the ES grade.
Cash bonuses can be redeemed by customers as a reduction of the final negotiated price.
The Japanese brand is also offering runout drive-away pricing for the Model Year 2024 Eclipse Cross plug-in hybrid, listing the ES trim at $45,490, the Aspire at $49,440, and the Exceed at $54,190, all drive-away.
GWM is offering $6000 off the Cannon Alpha PHEV, now $51,490 drive-away for the Lux grade and $58,490 for the Ultra, while the Haval H6 GT PHEV is $2000 off (now $51,990 drive-away), and the Haval H7 Hybrid is also $2000 off (to $44,990 drive-away).
Discounts of $4000 are being offered across the Haval H6 hybrid and plug-in hybrid ranges – plus a special offer marketing all-wheel-drive versions at the same price as regular hybrids – now ranging from $36,990 to $43,990 drive-away.
It is also offering discounts on the Haval Jolion small SUV – $2000 off the Lux Hybrid ($33,990 drive-away), $3000 off the Premium Hybrid ($29,990 drive-away), and $4000 off the Vanta Hybrid ($35,990 drive-away) – while the Tank 500 Ultra PHEV is $2000 off, to $77,990 drive-away.
Chery is also offering a number of its vehicles with drive-away offers across three of its hybrids and 'Super Hybrid' plug-ins, covering the Tiggo 4, Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8, applicable until the end of this month.
Honda is offering five free services across its HR-V hybrid range – until the end of the month, unless extended – above regular drive-away pricing starting at $39,900 for the entry-level hybrid e:HEV X.
Discounts on hybrid MGs total $500 off the MG 3 hatch, $1000 off the ZS small SUV, and $2000 off the HS mid-size SUV.
Kia quotes special-offer drive-away prices of $44,490 for the Sportage Hybrid S FWD, $59,990 for the Carnival Hybrid S, and $59,490 for the Sorento Hybrid S FWD.
The Nissan X-Trail range is offered with finance comparison rates on a 36-month term of 1 per cent for the outgoing MY25 version, and 2.9 per cent for the new MY26.
Meanwhile, the outgoing, soon-to-be-updated MY25 Nissan Qashqai e-Power hybrid is listed at $50,990 to $58,990 drive-away, depending on variant, though in some Australian states, these are modest savings of a few hundred dollars compared to their regular prices.
