Mercedes-Benz Australia has announced the addition of City Edition variants of the EQA250+ and EQB250+ small and medium SUVs.

Pricing for the City Edition package undercuts that of the regular range, and positions the two vehicles below the Luxury Car Tax threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles.

The EQA and EQB City Editions pair 19-inch AMG alloy wheels with a ‘comfort’ suspension tune, taking the place of the 20-inch wheels and adaptive suspension found in the regular EQA250+ and EQB250+.

Standard features retained from the regular range include heated front seats with electric adjustment and memory, metallic paint, a panoramic sunroof, ‘Artico’ faux-lather and microfiber upholstery, and a nappa leather steering wheel.

Features like AMG Line exterior styling, adaptive high-beam assist, 360-degree camera, active park assist, blind-spot assist, adaptive cruise control, and active lane keeping assist are also retained.

The EQB250+ City Edition also retains the folding third row of seats, accommodating up to seven occupants, and the sliding second-row seats as fitted to the regular EQB250+.

Pricing for the EQA250+ City Edition starts from $80,700 plus on-road costs, making it $5100 less than the regular EQA250+.

The EQB250+ City Edition starts from $85,400, or $4600 less than the standard model it’s based on.

For the 2025-2026 financial year, the LCT threshold for fuel-efficient vehicles kicks in from $91,387 and above, meaning Mercedes-Benz’s tax-saving claim on these two cars also applies to the regular version of the EQA and EQB, though options may push those cars over the LCT limit.

Mercedes-Benz also includes a three-year service plan, valued at $2160, plus 12 months complimentary access to the Chargefox public charging network.

Both models are powered by a 140kW/385Nm electric motor driving the front wheels, powered by a 70.5kWh battery providing a 578km range rating for the EQA and 564km for the EQB – tested to the NEDC test cycle.

The Mercedes-Benz EQA250- City Edition and EQB250+ City Edition are available to order now, at Mercedes-Benz dealers nationally.
