I’m more than very surprised that there aren’t more people driving them compared to what else is out there.

Hi all, here's my brand-new 2025 Renault Koleos 4x2 Techno with extras, including a factory-fitted towbar.
So far, just over 4400km on the clock, and of course there are no issues. I love the cooling nappa leather seats, which are very comfortable and they are also electric, and cool in all the right places. The interior of the cabin is well laid out, and the soft touchpoints are just right. I even like the interior mood lighting around the metal trim that you can set up.
The dual auto air-con works very well here in Canberra. When you use the demister, wow, it sounds like a jet taking off and it demists in seconds.
The fit and finish of the body work have no issues. You hear that solid clunk when you shut the door, the electric tailgate works well, as does the sunroof. I do love the LED lights, they are amazing.
I’m very impressed with the CVT, as it works bloody well. Put the foot down gently, no jerky gear shifts, just smooth and refined. A thumbs-up.
I’m surprised at how well it does drive. It steers well and smoothly, and the privacy glass in the back works well.
On the highway with cruise set it is so quiet, and driving around town there are no issues. If you are smooth on the accelerator it’s okay. If you are a leadfoot Larry it will make a lot of noise. Yes, it's the 2.5-litre, which is getting old but it does the job. Going up a few steep hills it needs a poke.
I’m more than very surprised that there aren’t more people driving them compared to what else is out there.
I’m happy with the safety tech that’s in it. In my opinion it doesn’t need adaptive cruise control or the cross-traffic alert. It’s not hard to turn the head left and right to check.
The sat-nav is very good, and I’ve had no issues using it, while the Bluetooth works well for me. I have an Android phone, so it links up straight away.
The back seat fits three with room to spare. It has cooling vents for the back, they work okay, the boot space is great and no issues there.
At the fuel pump it takes 91 regular unleaded and up. Yes, it's French. If Danny Ricciardo raced for them, it's okay in my books.
It has a few quirks, i.e. the cruise control, the R-Link, it does all work but just takes time to sort it out. So far so good, but I'm getting over 620km on a tank with Canberra stop-go traffic and the air-con on flat stick.
I love everything about the car, and the price you can’t really beat it, even using the finance option. The only thing I wish it had would be a front-facing camera.
The colour is a Metallic Grey, which is very nice. It’s an elegant vehicle in my opinion and a good size. I do love the rims.
Thank you, Renault, Garth.
