Campsites at Mount Panorama for this year's Bathurst 1000 sold out less than 90 minutes after going on sale to the public on Monday.

More than 7000 were made available, which will cater for over 25,000 avid racegoers when V8 Supercars return to the Mountain on 8-11 October.

A reported 90 per cent of campsites booked for 2025 were renewed by fans for 2026 – touted as a record – securing their spots before public sales for the remaining spots opened.

Supercars chairman and interim CEO Barclay Nettlefold said in a media statement the rapid sellout highlighted the growing demand for the Great Race experience.

"This is a tremendous result for this year’s Repco Bathurst 1000. After a record renewal period we knew the demand would be high, and our fans answered with the fastest sellout of campsites we have ever had," he said.

"Camping at the Bathurst 1000 is an experience unlike any other, and we cannot wait to welcome tens of thousands of campers back to the Mountain in October this year."

The 2026 event, scheduled for 8-11 October, will also feature a special tribute commemorating 20 years since the passing of Australian motorsport legend Peter Brock.
