A new dashboard will be one of more than 300 parts across eight models that Toyota reproduces under its Heritage Parts Project.
Toyota has added the dashboard of the 1993 to 2002 Mk4 Supra 'A80' sports car to the range of 300-plus components it reproduces for older models under the GR Heritage Parts Project, from LandCruisers to the 2000GT.
Production of the instrument panel will start in September, using modern materials and manufacturing techniques intended to improve durability, while maintaining the grain of plastic of the original to retain visual authenticity.
The GR Heritage Parts Project has reproduced discontinued parts for older Toyotas since 2019, to help customers keep their vehicles on the road.
It builds more than 300 parts across eight models: the 2000GT, A70 and A80 Supra, Corolla AE86 coupe, and 40, 60, 70 and 80 Series Land Cruisers.
Among the components produced by Gazoo Racing are the block and cylinder head of the 4A-GE engine from the AE86 Corolla.
Parts introduced under the project are said to retain their original design while incorporating the latest manufacturing methods and materials.
Toyota says the reproduced A80 Supra dashboard will be made with modern material to combat the cracking and fading that affected the original, while keeping its original finish and design.
The instrument panel is planned to be offered from September across Japan at GR Garage locations and Toyota dealerships.
It is yet to be confirmed if it will be available for customers outside of Japan looking to keep their older models alive, with the first examples of the A80 Supra turning 33 this year.
The A80 Supra was never officially sold new in Australia, though many examples have made their way to local roads via grey importation from Japan and other countries.
